Vitamin C: 300 mg – A water-soluble vitamin, vitamin C is involved in protein metabolism, is an antioxidant and is critical for the biosynthesis of carnitine, collagen and select neurotransmitters.3

Vitamin E: 40 IU –A collective name for eight different, naturally-occurring chemicals, Vitamin E contains antioxidant properties that protect the body cellular damage. Vitamin E also supports immune function and stops the damaging effects of reactive oxidative species (ROS) during fat oxidation.5
Vitamin B6: 20 mg – Required for over 100 metabolism enzyme reactions, vitamin B6 is an essential, water-soluble nutrient important for overall health.5
In the body, vitamin B6 helps break down proteins, regulate blood sugar, make antibodies, maintain nerve function, and produce hemoglobin which carries oxygen to tissues.5
Vitamin B12: 50 mcg – Vitamin B12 is an important nutrient that helps the body make red blood cells, DNA synthesis, and contributes to nerve functions.6
Vitamin B12 naturally occurs in meat and dairy products. A deficiency in vitamin B12 can lead to anemia, a form of chronic fatigue that can lead to weakness or cognitive difficulties and impair performance in the gym.6
Creatine Monohydrate: 3 g – One of the most popular supplement pre workout ingredients, Muscle Pharm Assault’s creatine monohydrate is a potent form of creatine often used in clinical trials. Creatine is a molecule that can quickly produce energy in the body during periods of stress.7
Creatine monohydrate is well-known for its strength-enhancing effects. According to a meta-analysis of clinical trials, creatine monohydrate is able to increase a 12% improvement in strength to 20%.7
When combined with a resistance training program, consuming creatine in doses of at least 3 grams can increase power output, strength, lean muscle mass and performance, particularly in anaerobic exercises.7
CarnoSyn Beta-Alanine: 1.75 g – A patented form of beta-alanine, Caronsyn is a modified version of the amino acid alanine. Beta-alanine acts as a precursor to carnosine, a molecule which acts as a buffer for lactic acid buildup in the muscles.
In studies, beta alanine has been observed to increase muscular endurance in cardiovascular exercises by 60-240 seconds. Supplementing with beta-alanine can also improve lean muscle mass, and may have anti-aging properties.8
Betaine Anhydrous: 1.5 g – Betaine anhydrous, also known as trimethylglycine (TMG), is a naturally occurring substance that’s involved in liver function, carnitine production and cellular reproduction.9
Additionally, its involved in metabolizing homocysteine, an amino acid which in high levels has been associated with atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries), heart attack and stroke.9
Taurine: 1 g – Taurine is a naturally occurring amino sulfonic acid which helps the body maintain heart and blood health. It also has been shown to enhance fat oxidation during periods of exercise and contributes to antioxidant defense systems.10
During times of stress, the body makes use of large concentrations of taurine found in the skeletal muscles and brain.10
In a 2012 study published in “Amino Acids,” researchers investigated the ergogenic benefits of taurine on running performance. The double-blind, randomized, crossover design gave participants 1 g of taurine two hours prior to a 3-km time trial run.11
Volunteers who supplemented with taurine saw significant improvements in time it took to complete the timed runs. Heart rate, relative oxygen uptake and blood lactate did not appear to be affected. Although the mechanisms of action remains unknown, taurine demonstrates potential to positively influence exercise metabolism.11
L-Glycine: 1 g – A nonessential amino acid, L-glycine is critical for the formation of creatine in the body, as well as constructing DNA and RNA.12
Glycine also functions as a neurotransmitter, regulates blood sugar levels, and controls the amount of glucose that’s delivered to skeletal muscles. Additionally, glycine is one of the main components of collagen, which is important for maintaining healthy tissues, ligaments, and skin.12
Caffeine Anhydrous: 250 mg – Caffeine is a widely-consumed stimulant known for its ergogenic (performance-enhancing) effects on the central nervous system.13 Caffeine anhydrous is a dehydrated form of caffeine considered by some to have more prominent effects.
In clinical trials, caffeine has been shown to increase power output, delay fatigue and contribute to enhanced anaerobic cardiovascular capacity. Caffeine also appears to increase the rate of metabolism and fat oxidation, which can both contribute to weight loss.13
Acetyl-L-Carnitine: 250 mg – A derivative of the amino acid lysine, acetyl-L-carnitine is a compound know to help prevent aging and disease in mitochondria. As well, it can increase mitochondria’s ability to burn fat.14
Supplementing with acetyl-L-carnitine can improve mental alertness, chronic fatigue and preventing neurological degradation. Ongoing research is evaluating its effect on fat oxidation.14
Muscle Pharm Assault Caffeine
Like many pre workout supplements, Muscle Pharm Pre Workout contains stimulants to delay fatigue and boost exercise endurance. In the Muscle Pharm Assault 30 servings container, each serving will contain 250 mg of caffeine. This is equivalent to approximately 2-3 cups of brewed coffee.15
